does anyone else spread themselves too thin?

I swear I never thought staying home could keep me so busy....I take care of the two kids and take them to activities during the week, I just joined a play group so that is going to add to our outings, I do in home day care part time(tho am down to only 1 kid at the moment), we have a party rental business that I handle all the reservations and phone calls and help with deliveries on the weekends, I take online classes working towards my bachelor's in business, I have to keep up with the house the best I can and on top of all that my husband is pressuring me to find another source of part time work. I'm feeling a little overwhealmed, what do you all do to manage your time? I find it very difficult to manage everything.....currently I'm 3 days late on my recent homework assignment and its only half done, and the laundry is backed up.

Yup..it one can find oneself spread thin if you aren't careful! Besides being the nurse/accountant/mechanic/organizer/and head chief and bottle washer it's easy to pick up more things to do. I home school ..down to one now..and run two small businesses. Up until about 6 months ago, I was also the choir director at our church and sat on several boards.

People underestimate all the work you do just staying at home. I learned the hard way, we need to work in time for ourselves as well.

Hope things are better for you. :-)

It's very easy to get overwhelmed with the stuff we have to do as stay-at-home moms. I know that I personally feel responsible for a lot more stuff because I'm not working outside the home, so I end up getting overwhelmed by all the responsibilities I assign myself. Sometimes (a lot of the time) I fall behind on the laundry or dishes. It's okay, it happens. :)

I totally understand how you feel. I am a mother of 6 children that range in age from 14 years old to 5 years old. My husband and I also own our own Emergency Roadside Assistance Company that is open 24/7/365 days a year. I am also a full time student (online) and I know it is very hard to try to keep up with just the daily chores.

If you take 30 minutes to yourself every evening, things will start to seem like they are not so bad and what is excellent about that 30 minutes to yourself is it gives you time to prioritize the day. Good Luck and I hope things start to ease for you soon!
