I currently have Mirena, and let me tell you, it has been nothing but hell! I bleed all the time, not to mention the odd smelling discharge, I had problems w/ the wire being to long and got them cut shorter, but it's just been such a hassle I can't believe it. Most women are suppose to have little to no period at all, and it's just the opposite for me! Plus I'm moody lol. So I heard about the Implanon, it's inserted under the arm? And release hormones like the Mirena or different? Does a egg get fertilized like the pill or not like the Mirena? If anyone can answer these questions that would be great, or if anyone has it what their experiences were like, thanks a bunch!

ive got the implanon and i havent had any trouble with it, i dont have my period nor moodiness as well which i guess is a bonus. i chose that because of the side effects of the pill and the mirena i herd can sometimes stop u from having kids altogether but the implanon is just a little bar under the upper part of ur arm u can feel it when u touch it but thats it, id recomend it if uve had trouble with other form of contraception :)

Wow I had nothing but trouble with the impalon i bleed heavily for 22 days almost became anemic. So i got the mirena and had no trouble i basically had no period.

Yes the implaon is inserted under your skin in your upper arm (that's where i had mine) its shaped like a microchip. Cant answer your other questions sorry but to say i think it all depends on your hormones to what happens?? But i know one of my friends has the implaon and hasn't had any problems.

Hope i helped a bit
