my daughter was 4 days late and she is now only 4 months and i had this thing come in the mail from the health unit it was called lets grow and i had a check list for a 4 month old and a 6 month old the things they should be doing well my daughter had only just turned 3 months at the time i received it and i had maybe 1 or 2 things on the list for a 6 month old that she hasnt done at the time but is now! she follows the sounds very well already trying to crawl, very strong always moving differently trying to sit up on her own and things like that and she is very good at grabbing she knows when she is being called and just today october 22nd i got her to grab someting i got her to pass it to my mom and then she grabbed it back and dropped it right after i told her to drop it i mean she is advancing sooo fast its amazing and scary all at the same time lol!! please more then welcome to leave a comment!

Both my girls are like that - my 1st was almost 3 weeks late and is so advanced now it's super cool but scary as hell at the same time. My 2nd is only 4 weeks old (she was 9 days overdue) and is already tracking people/objects visually (turning to see what it is) and trying to push herself up, lift her head and roll over. Every baby is different and it is kind of scary/intimidating when they are so quick, but it makes you feel awesome too because each new accomplishment is so great :)

it is nothing to be scared about. intelligence is taken much from genetics. my daughter is 9 mo and she can already stand up by herself with no assistance. it only lasts a few seconds but ever since she was born she has been months in advance. also if you read to her and do stimulating activities it helps the baby brain grow. from the beginning of birth believe it or not, touch is very vital to their wellbeing. it helps the brain grow. so u should be very proud! it was intimidating at first but im so proud of my baby.

like someone mentioned before, those are just guidelines. i have 2 boys and they are i dont believe how different they are. my oldest didnt start walking until 14 months, but was much more advanced than his age in speech. my youngest walked at 8 months and is still a talker, but not like his brother was. my 3 1/2 year old is developing much faster than normal mentally. he can already add 2 digit numbers and subtract single digits. he can also read at a second grade level. his pediatrician is impressed, but she says that it does happen sometimes in children. they are all just wired a little differently.

I know right my baby was 2 weeks late and was rolling over and scooting by 2 months then saying words at 5 months now half sentences and standing on her own at 8 months.babies r so shocking it's something new everyday

My daughter was born 4 days late and she has always been advanced in wat she does,
she started walking at 9 and a half months old.
She is now 4 years old and can say the whole alphabet count to 15 in English and 10 in Spanish (thanks dora lol) and i am always being complimented on how smart she is.
So dont be scared about it just encourage it as im sure she will also be a bright girl. :)

My daughter was 3 weeks early and I was told that she would stay behind the "schedule" for up to the first 2 years of her life. Well guess what, she was just like yours and always ahead of what she was "supposed" to be doing and advanced very quickly. The charts that they give you are just guidelines made up of averages. She is 18 months old now and still has some things that she does before the chart says she should.

Wow! that is fast! But i don't think it is anything to be scared about. All babies develop differently and at different times. Just keep encouraging her and see what she does next! :)
