What is the easiest and safest way to clean out baby's ears?

i agree with the other suggestions as well.. the only other thing my ped showed me was, and only to do this when theyre having a lot of drainage due to cold or allergies which both my boys suffer from... was to kind of unravel a cotton ball.. roll it in your hands until its kind of long and has an almost pointy part to it at the end and gently put it in their ear and roll it around gently like you would a q tip.. it was safer b/c its obviously too soft to puncture anything in the ear but it gets A LOT of crap out

I use a wet washcloth on my boys and only was the outer ear.If you think it needs to be cleaned any further in then the pediatrition can do it safely.I have done it this way so I know that I don't accidently hurt them.

with a johnson and johnson's saftey Q-tip and Only clean the visable wax, never go in the ear
