My daughter was born with it, and the doctor told me it's more common now because of environmental changes - pollution etc..

They prescribed a cream that was a miracle worker. By age 3 it was completely gone, so they don't always have it forever. The doctor knew hers would go away because of the tiny bumps she has on the back of her arms. I thought that was strange, but she is 8 now and still no problems!

There can be different causes for eczema. Some children are born with it and others it is an allergy.
It's best to go to the doctor and find out what is the cause first.

I'm think its caused by inflammation or some type of allergy. Our LO had a food allergy that caused it. We used lavender oil on the bottoms of her feet then used a sleep sack for her as well. It kept her from the scratching her skin so that it would heal. We used the zipadee zip sack and she sleeps great in it!
