I joined a stay at home moms group when I quit my paying job. It was a define life saver. These are groups designed to support you and understand what you go through on a regular basis. It helps to make friends and have someone over the age of 10 to talk to. (especially if you just moved to a new area.) I recommend MOMS club international. You can google it. It stand for moms offering moms support.

I sell stuff from home in my spare time. I use the buy and sell on facebook and ebay etc. I enjoy making jewellery thinking of doing that when I have the time. Otherwise I just try to go for a walk. I stick the kids in the pram go for a walk. Get some things while I'm out. It makes me feel good.

What do you like to do? Read? Bake? Hike? I'm a new SAHM, too. I haven't stopped working since I finished college, so I totally understand where you're coming from. Is your husband supportive of your staying home? It's important for you two to be on the same page.

I don't make nearly as much as I used to, but I love writing, so I've taken some odd jobs that fill that need and also pay, so I still feel I'm contributing to our household financially. Not to mention the "free" childcare and maid service I provide.

I've also recently decided to explore some new hobbies like origami and calligraphy. I spend more time exercising, too, which is good on so many levels and sets a healthy example for my daughter. I've also started clearing through years of piled up clutter in our house which definitely makes me feel productive, more organized, and helps me clear my head.

Think about stuff you like to do or things you'd like to try and go for it. And even if your family doesn't say it, I'm sure they appreciate you. Do you appreciate yourself? We can't accept from others what we are unable to give ourselves.
