Have you asked around at the local charities in your area? They would be able to help more than us.

when My husband and I decided to have one of us stay at home it was primarily to save on daycare costs. I could make more money selling things on craigslist or figuring out finances that me going back to work wasn't worth it. my advice is look into wic, your local food charities, and your bills. you can allways lower bills, or work with them to make them managable. then for clothing look into local second hand, kids dont need alot and as for yourself you could get a new outfit for under $10 easily. good luck and keep trudging ahead it does work out if you try hard.

The local Social Services may have some advice or career center. I have been in your shoes of course when my husband and I 1st started out and 4 years ago I was diagnosed with an illness and lost my job and benefits. I have been married for 10 years it is very hard to get any charity if you are married. I have worked some part time but it is easier on my health and husband if I just stay home. Daycare is so expensive and car payments is expensive to live. I took my car payments and bought a decent car on craigslist to do away with a bill but ruined my credit due to the repo.
