i am so happy oh my god my 9 month old son had his first day at the beach i brought him into the water with me and trust me i made sure that i was not letting go of him and made sure he was safe. but any way he loved being in the water i had him in water up to his chest, walking out slowly so he could get used to it. he actually slept on my shoulder after splashing and kicking in the water laughing. and just slept in my arms while i walked with him in the water, the water was so relaxing to him. i was in the water with my friend that is handicapped so she cant do much but wade in the water and we just talked and i looked down and he was relaxed and asleep. lol i have only heard horror stories of kids first time in the water. my friend was amazed that he trusts me so much that he rarely gets scared of new things. i am just so happy i had to say something on here lol.

:D awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom looked at me as if I was insane too! I don't worry about it. I think it shows how much we truly love our kids. My boyfriend and I sit around all the time and discuss how we want their childhood to be fun and playful. What we want to do for them. What we hope we can do for them. What we'd like to do for them and discuss what kind of parents we will be too...... hoping that we will make them well rounded people without a bunch of emotional issues, fear, or social problems. Afterall, I guess we really wanted kids. We both want to be there for them all the time and love them unconditionally........ so yeah.... mushy mushy I'm totally happy with it

congrats to the shorts! :D

yeah thats around the time ladon started splashing in the bathtub its so cute he started crawling here this month and the second i start his bath water he is crawling as fast as he can into the bathroom. i know what that is lol. but i am shocked he had a bad heat rash with the worst diaper rash when it first started getting warm and i had him indoors, i have had him outside theis last week every day. went fishing with him had him at his grandparents and swimming, his heat rash is all gone and his diaper rash is completly gone. and i have made darn sure he has not gotten burnt. in some ways i am suprised he has not gotten burnt. i know i put tons of sunscreen on but he is outside alot. and for long periods of time. but i aslo kow the second he starts to feel warm or crabby he goes right into the house.

We bought a baby pool (no beaches really around here) and our son loves it! He loves splashing around and all the fun stuff. He's 5 months old.

That's so exciting! I'm looking forward to my baby's first day at the beach. He's already a year and a half, and I was too scared of sunburn (and let's face it, just too tired) to take him last summer.
Make sure you get lots of pictures! :)
