First Haircut

My daughter's hair is finally growing longer but it is still baby fine. An aunt (who used to cut hair for a living) told me that if I trim it just a little it will help it to grow thicker and longer much quicker than if I left it alone. Anyone know if thats true?

It's a myth, it only looks thicker because you're cutting the hair shaft in the middle, where it's thicker. It does seem that their hair grows faster and thicker once you cut it though, my son's had 2 haircuts already and he just turned one! It may change color when you cut it too, my son's hair went from light brown to blonde after his first haircut, Daddy shaved all the brown off, lol!

I am not sure if that is true but I know it will change texture as soon as you cut it. It will no longer be baby soft.
