I was told that I could start my 4 month old on cereal if I wanted, but she's showing no interest so I'm waiting.

It is recommended that you wait until 6 months to introduce solids to your baby. You may want to check with your pediatrician to see what he/she recommends. Most will suggest rice cereal as a first food as it is not highly allergenic (I would avoid wheat until they are at least 12 months as it can cause allergies). I just started my 6.5 month old on solids about 2 weeks ago. He could take it or leave it at this point but is getting a little better about it each day. He only takes about 1 tablespoon (sometimes 2) once a day. Good luck to you!
