Formula advice needed, help!

Okay so, my baby boy is 6 weeks old today and poor thing has had a bit of a rough go of it. We started off breastfeeding, that only lasted for a week. He's a big boy and was wanting to nurse constantly and I wasn't producing enough to keep up. When I decided I just couldn't do it anymore, I started him off with Similac Advance. He had really bad gas and was extremely fussy but it didn't happen right away, took about a week for him to act bothered by it. I took him to the doctor and she suggested switching the bottles he was using and also trying the Similac Sensitive formula and if that didn't work, she said he would probably need Soy. I have been using gripe water, gas drops, I did the bottle switch and while it all seemed to help at first, I feel like within the last few days, we are right back to the extreme fussiness again and he's pulling his legs up and pushing his bottle away at times. He also doesn't seem to poop regularly to me but I'm not even sure what regularly would be at this point. I called the doctor this morning and waiting for her to call back. I don't want to keep switching formula but if that's what's going to work, I will. Has anyone else gone through this and have any advice or success stories from doing the switch to soy?

My little girl was like that and what helped her was when it was time for her feeding a took one of her receiving blankets and warmed it up, then wrapped it around her tummy, then I would give her a bit of oval, then her formula which was the similac sensitive and I used the mam bottles cause it helps cut down the colic, which I had found out she had, but once she was down I tried to get a few burps out of her and it seemed to help
