I am sorry, I had suffered terribly too with PPD and anxiety for years. Medicine helped a lot. Don't be afraid of it. Zoloft is helping me. And there are free services where someone comes to your house to check on you and baby. I also stopped doing things that really weren't necessary like making elaborate meals, giving baby bath everynight--my husband had to and has to fend for himself and help me way more. I put a LOT of responsibility on him and he took it like a man. Therapy helps also. It's an awful, scary time but you must put your needs first

I am still on it and I only wish I did it earlier. Absolutely nothing wrong with taking medicine. I wish I never convinced myself that somehow I was giving in or giving up! Zoloft is good because Mama can still breast feed without affecting baby. I'm on the generic version Sertraline. And I say: Don't tell anyone you are on it if you don't want to. You don't need permission!
