I have 3month old boy/girl twins. My son is on a great schedule but I can't seem to get my daughter to go to sleep before 1am! She is colic every night for 1-3 hours and 1am is about the time she is so exhausted from crying that she finally goes to sleep. I can't really leave her in her crib to "cry it out". I also have a 2 1/2 yr. old and a 6yr old who has to be up for school. I really feel bad for her and I am open to ANY advise!!

if you can block out a cpl days to deal with crabby babies, twins on a schedule is such a blessing! i have19month twins, so i speak from experience (not much experience tho cuz i'm still new to the game!) haha. ok,here's my advice:when baby A eats, offer babyB to eat (and vice versa). both have the right to eat as much or a little as they want. when the first baby wakes up, wake the other one up. ALWAYS! they don't have to fall asleep at the same time, but they have to wake up at the same time. you will have tired crabby babies for a couple days maximum, then BLISS!!!! they will fall into routine together!!! but prepare yourself.those first days are awful. once you have them synched together, you can begin letting them have their own schedules as it works in your life. one day a week i put one baby to nap b4 the other so i get alone time with one,and then the other! goodluck and remind yourself that to a newborn, patience is love!

Have you tried reading the book "Happiest Baby on the Block"? My daughter was colic and it was the only thing that kept me sane. You should do the 5 S's. Swaddle her tight, put her on her side while swaying and shushing her (louder than her crying) and then give her somehting to suck on (breast, pacifier, finger, etc) See if that helps with the colic. I would also put the static on my radio as loud as possible and she would immediately stop crying. Hope that helps momma!
