Growth Spurt?

How can you tell when you child is going thru a growth spurt? My daughter is 3 1/2 and is sleeping a lot (like until 10:30 or 11am) and is eating less than normal. Like for instance tonight we went to dinner with some friends and when our food came she said she wasn't hungry and that she was tired and cold. I gave her some generic tylenol and she fell asleep in the car on the way home. When we got home I took her temp and she was fine. Should I worry or do is it possible that she is growing?

Growing hurts and takes alot out of them. My 3 year old just started sleeping a lot more also. She been sleeping for 12 hours at night and still takes a 2 hour nap most days. It may last up to a month or longer depending on how her body adjusts to growing. Make sure whatever food she gets is healthy, it will help!!!
Good Luck!

You definately should mention this to your doctor just to make sure this isn't something to worry about. It is normal for kids to eat normal or more than normal and then stop and sleep more. Did she do that? With eating more first and then started the sleeping? That can be a clue that she is growing. But mention this to the doctor just to make sure this isn't something serious that can be reconized by a professional.

You should talk to her doctor about this. This might me totally normal. My son is 14 months, so I don't know. But if you notice changes in her you should talk to a doctor. With my son I notice he eats more when he is going through a growth spur.
