My teenage son had it, last fall. Lasts about 3 weeks . I went online & the information is consistent with what the dermatologist said.It went away on its own. You can get lotion for itching or it it gets worse.

My son had it before. He was about 18 months. It's common in children 6m-2yrs i do believe. It shouldn't last long.

yeah we gave her an oatmeal bath n the first night it helped but was still spreading so we tried it again the second night n it didnt help at all, when I took her to the doctor the lady talked about my concerns as if my child wasnt worth her time to examine..I mean dang if the rn gadnt told me to take her in I probably wouldnt have gone >_< I mean the fever was breif maybe 24hrs n was only 101.4 at its peak. but I'm not the type to just take my baby in for any little thing, but I expect to be treated with some curtosey and professional decency

My daughter had it when she was 8 months old. She was sick and ran an extremely high fever for about a week. The rash lasted 3-4 days. We gave her tylenol for the fever and spent lots of time snuggling.
I hope your daughter starts feeling better soon.

Yes - it's also known as sixth disease. My son had it, and just last week my daughter had it. The rash doesn't last long, and there isn't much you can do for it other than tylenol if they have a fever, etc.
