Hello everyone, I'm new to circle of moms. I have question, I moved to Texas 4 yrs ago, my husband family lives here and he got a good job offer and to better our family's life we decided to move and take the job! When we got here I didn't feel so lonely because his family had someone sick in the family and I have been in the medical field for 3 years now, so it was kind of a perfect fit, and plus all my kids were in school! Well I have been there for his family, taking care of his sick uncle for the past 3 years and he just recently passed away and his family threw me aside like garbage cause they no longer needed! All I have now is my kids and husband and I'm happy with that, because I feel like I can't trust anyone! I got a job as a part time teacher working 2 days a week and my kids have dance and karate, but I do feel lonely some times! My husband works all the time, my kids are in school all day and all my family live in Florida, I have a few "friends" I talk to here but I don't see them often! Some of my husbands family members don't want to hang out cause we don't want to drink every weekend! I guess what I'm asking is, has anyone ever feels alone? Like they have no one they can really talk to? I mean on e his family did that to me it's like the whole family looks at me like I was just a hired help (even though I was never paid) and they were the only people I got to know! I just feel lonely sometimes! I mean I feel happy just having them, is that normal? Thank you =)

My fiance, my son and I just moved to Florida earlier this year. Before that, we lived in the UK for 11 years! My family is all in Pennsylvania, and his family is all in Utah, so we don't know ANYONE here. When I first moved to the UK, I also didn't know anyway, except for my ex-husband's family.

I've always felt very lonely and isolated, being so far from family. But I am very happy with my son and partner. We even have another little boy on the way.

I think what makes it easier for me is just getting out and about, creating memories with my family and trying to make the most out of where we live and the interesting opportunities we have. I chronicle it all in my blog, and all of my family (and his) read it and feel like they know what's going on. We've even had a couple family members come visit us here over the past few months, which is great as no one could ever afford to come to England to visit!

We are now thinking about moving to Utah next year, as my fiance has a house there we can live in. We'd be near his family, but not mine. Again, though, I think at this point I just want my son (and his soon to be new brother!) to have a nice life with lots of family around, so as long as we can be near at least ONE set, it'll be worth it. :)
