I am a mother of an adorable 17month old. I had him via c-section due to him being posterior. My scar caused me no grief and healed extremely well. Now i am pregnant again (5 weeks) and am starting to feel more tender around the scar. I am curious to hear from other mums who have been pregnant with a c-section belly- does it pull more, does it hurt? I am only 5 weeks and already i can feel some pulling, is it going to get worse as i get bigger?

thank you to everyone that has replied especially kimberly! yes i too am noticing some underwear that sits around the scar as not being as comfortable anymore and although am very early on in the pregnancy, am starting to wear more loose fitting pants around my waist. I agree that my body is definitely changing faster this time around. Thanks Kinberly, what you said, really made sense to me. And excuse my ignorance, but i am unfamiliar with what vbac means?

I haven't had a c-section, but a close friend of mine did. I remember her talking about her scar being very tender as well with her second pregnancy. I don't know that it got worse, but it stayed tender the entire pregnancy. She has also had 2 v-bacs since the first c-section.

With your 2nd or more your body goes thru changes faster. So your uterus and all around it stretches faster so you can usually feel it more. I do know that since my 2nd c-sec I can not wear bikini or any other low cut underwear anymore or the scar tissue under my incision will start to hurt. Is any of your clothing rubbing it and making it more sensitive?

i didn't notice a thing past the first month or two. i was worried about it hurting during my vbac. but i couldn't even tell i had a scar. and i had that boy out in no time at all. they thought it was my second vaginal birth. go to spinningbabies.com. it has tons of helpful info. also ways to get baby from posterior to anterior and keep labor going strong to get them out quicker with less pain. i also did red raspberry leaf after the second trimester to strengthen uterus though too. i was worried about a rupture. but it didn't get worse and most the pulling i felt was inside and doc said it was just uterus getting bigger with baby. scar or no scar, she said i'd ahve felt it. hope that helped. :)

ps. there is all kinds of info on the web about Vbac-ing- Which I'm sure you already know. I went nuts looking at everything. Don't freak yoursel out like I did. Just find a Dr who is willing to try it with you that you trust and trust yourself and your body. As long as you live close to a hospital, get good prenatal care, are intune with your body and listen to your intuition and aren't afraid to ask questions you will be fine!

Are you sure it's the scar?? Is it red or anything. There's lots of things growing and stretching down there. Ask your dr. but I doubt your uterus would stretch enouch in 5 weeks to affect the scar. My first was a c-sect. My second was a vbac I"m planning to vbac again with this one and I won't be as scared this time because it really was so much better.
