I have a 5 1/2 month old baby girl and my husband and I would like to try for a second child. I had been on the pill since my daughter was born. Last month after my period I stopped taking the pill. Everything I have read says you can conceive immediately. what are my chances of being pregnant right away?

@ Michelle thank you. i too believe that every parent should take the time to enjoy each child and give them each the time they need to be the baby however my younger brother and I are 11months apart and have a bond that we do not share with our older brothers. I would love for my daughter to have that same bond with her brother even tho she will be over a year older. I do not understand why people wait ten years in between their children.

The same as every month really. It depends on the type of pill you were on and if your body ovulates straight away or not.

I personally think it would be better to wait a while and enjoy your daughter. They are only little once and it goes by fast enough as it is.
