We did the cry it out thing with my now two year old when he was little and it was great. I am a little worried about doing it with my boy twin. They are in the same room. I think I will try to let him cry since you all say they don't wake each other up. That was what I was worried about. They are only three months old so I don't want to push him to sleep all night just because she does. Still thinking on when to start the cry it out thing. At what age do you all think it would be good

I just want to say that I agree with Courtney. My girls are 19 months now, but when they started to sleep through the night, one started way before the other. I was afraid to let her cry thinking she would wake the other. I finally let her cry through and eventually she figured out that I was not coming and she would soothe herself back to sleep. She rarely ever woke her sister. It will eventually get easier, good luck!

I am having the same problem. I have 3 1/2 month old twins. My baby girl has been sleeping through the night for some time now and my little boy gets up twice. Not sure what to do. Guess I will just keep feeding the boy for a few more weeks and then I will have him try and cry out the midnight feeding and just do the 4 am one. After 4 he sleeps till about 7 so thats not so bad. Good luck and let me know what you do.

Part of it depends on the age. Some aren't ready to give up that midnite feeding for a while. All children are different and have different sleeping patterns. Try not running in every time he cries, or puting him down as soon as he calms. He probably will not wake his sister- I have twins and one slept through the night months before the other. The waking one rarely wakes the other unless they go on for a long time. He might have found that the night is his only alone time with mommy. Does he use a paci? If so, he could be losing it and having trouble finding it. Try puting several around him so he can learn to get them himself. My one twin was a year before he slept through the night. I have a 10 month old now who has slept 11 hours since about 5 months. Hope this helps a bit!
