I think its just a phase. It something kids learn to do and for some reason they find it funny. My 5yr old did this when she was a toddler and now my 14mo old is starting to. Theres not really much you can do. If he's hitting his head on something that could possibly hurt him then just simply say "no that will hurt" and remove him from the area/room.

Are you sure he isn't kissing them?

My 18 month old headbutts me because we look eyes and it looks funny when we are so close. But sometimes I see her doing the same thing to the TV or her bear. I think its just a learning thing myself...

My BGF's 17 month old however is a kissy freak! She kisses everything and you can hear her kiss it too! (if only I could teach mine the sound!)

Good luck and remember he's ok if he is a little gooffy. Just laugh with him! :)
