My almost 13 month old daughter will only eat meat and cheese pretty much. I have to really try and be very sneaky and put a lot of energy into getting her to eat yogurt, squash, avocado, banana... maybe 1-2 bites of broccoli at a time. Those are the only foods she'll touch, and it's SUCH a struggle! Takes hours! She sometimes will sip water or milk from a cup, and sometimes she swallows it, but mostly she just plays with it and sucks it in an out or spits it out. I'm going nuts! She is still breastfed, but not enough to make her grow. She BFs probably 3-4 times a day, and we co-sleep so she eats at night 1-2 times and a lot in the morning when she first wakes up. But her weight gain has started to drop off- she was 21lbs at her 1 year check up, which is average I guess, but she's been above average from birth. She is becoming more active and I am worried about her not getting enough. I don't want to back off from BFing to encourage her to eat bc if it dosn't work I am worried my milk will slow down and I won't be able to get it back- it's already been a year of BFing! Could BFing be interfering with her table foods? Should I back off on it, or will that be traumatic and make her not want table food even more? Will she come around to foods on her own? Ay other mamas with this kind of experience please give me some advice! I am kind of freaking out :D

i went through this with my daughter, shes just having fun with the feelings of different foods in her mouth, dont be alarmed shes receiving vitamins from your breast milk, after shes done with the breast milk they sell a lot of different drinks for her receiving the vitamins shes lacking...dont be alarmed... try making your own baby food at home, sneak in veggies in her bananas or apples or pears it always helps..
