Help!! One twin listens, the other doesn't---need advice

Let me start by saying in general that I have pretty great 3.5yr old twin sons. For a few months or more, one of my son's, Blake, whines way more than necessary, blows up over the littlest thing, gets angry and frustrated, is defiant, yells "no" and other infuriating things, air slapping, and is just not listening at times. I know this is pretty much every kid at times, but his other twin, Liam, is the complete opposite. He listens, and knows that what Blake is doing makes me upset so he doesn't do it.

I am super worried that because one twin is the "listening" twin and very rarely gets put in time outs, toys taken away, etc...that I am making the "non-listening" twin feel like he is lesser. I don't want one kid to feel like he is always bad and that I love my son Liam more, but time-outs/toys removed are things that actually work to change the behavior- albeit with screams and huge tantrums... Anyone else have this? I wish they were both bad listeners verses just one... that way I wouldn't have to treat one different. Just feel horrible guilt and feel like I am going to mess up my kid for life....

Thanks so much for that. It's just hard when one kid seems to be disciplined so much more than the other!

I have twins that are 19 last week. Looking back this was always the way it was. My son was the one not listening. It did get better. They each have there own personality. Sounds like you are doing It all right. It will get better I promise!
Hope that helped
