My son is 3 months old almost 4. He sleeps great, but only when he has something to cuddle up to. If he doesn't he will cry and cry. I fight with him a lot about this because I am afraid that if I give him something to cuddle up to he will suffocate himself because he has to snuggle his face into it. WHAT DO I DO?? I am at wits end.

Quoting Darla:

What about if you swaddle him nice and tightly??

He doesn't like to be swaddled. he likes to be able to move around.

I just let my son go to sleep with his things and then when I check on him I make sure it's not near his face, then when I go to bed I move it across the crib.

My son is the same way. I let him fall asleep with it, but before I go to bed I take it away. No more problems with his sleeping. He just needs a little cuddle with a fuzzy friend to help him fall asleep. Hope this will help.
