my mother in law lives with us and what i need help with is every time my son cries she goes in our room and gets him we have told her to just leave him in his crib but she does listen she gets him and goes her room with him. what can i do

Grr that makes me angry when grandparents think they can do anything they want with their grandchildren! I would have to most definetly agree with the other moms on this post, and be stern yet nice about it and tell her that you are the one raising your child and that as long as she's staying with you and your home, you don't need her to help you unless you ask for the help. You are the one raising this child...NOT her! Good luck!!!!

I would just put your foot down if I were in your shoes. Remember she lives in your house you don't live in hers. So she needs to respect your wishes.

i agree she has no right! If she's living with you then she has to live by your rules. ESPECIALLY with your child. IMO i think its ignorant that not only does she not respect what you've asked but to take the baby in her room?? That's disrespect at its highest..

Do you have a lock on the door?





Get up and tell her to put the baby down and get out. Be stern with her about it.
