Help!!! Puppy madness ..

I am not sure what I should do anymore, it is just really annoying. My little 2.5 year old one likes to play with his toy dog's which is fine but he also pretends to be a dog himself and at times it just so annoying to hear all day long those puppy noises. Any advice how could I make his stop this?

There is a fantastic book called "If bones would rain from the sky". Suzanne begins the book from what you think is the family dog, but it actually is her. She so loved dogs and did not have a family dog so she became the family dog. She is a highly intelligent may have a very crreative or very intelligent little man on your hands. I would actually do the opposite of some here. I instead would embrace this stage and tell "puppy" that you are going to have to train him. "No bark" "No noises". This phase will pass, as this happens to many ppl. Another idea is to further embrace this and take the opportunity to teach him more about dogs.

Tell him that you can't help doggies but you can help boys... I had a friend whos son would run around (inside or out) on all fours, bark, and bretend to wrestle like a dog.. she just stopped helping him until he was a boy again... that did it for him... Hope that helps

Ya, give him a time limit for being a puppy. "you can play puppy for this long, then you have to be my little boy again" or something to that affect.Heck, I would play puppy with him,LOL put a string or leash around his waist and walk him around the house or yard, maybe indulging him will make "puppy time"phase pass sooner.

hi there i can sympathise with you here. i have an 18 month old who is obsessed with dogs. anything that has 4 legs is a woof woof lol every single day we have to put on her puppy films .. she loves them. she puts her shoes on her hands and walks on all fours sometimes. tbh i think its just a phase she will grow out of it eventually there is no harm really but it can get annoying lol
