I used this book to help entertain my twins. It has ideas for what you have around the house. Also, besides what others have suggested it's good for kids to learn to play by themselves. If you belong to any clubs or meet other moms at parks or activities you might also host playdates at your house. If you have a car or a way story time at the library. If you have any old fashion toy stores some of them have toys out that kids can play with. Some other ideas are playdough, music, dance, instrutments (whatever is around the house), etc.

Again I don't know your transportation situation and finances, but some Boys and Girls Club have indoor parks for kids that aren't in school full time, City Parks and Recreations might have activities pay and free, Community College might have pay and free stuff, swimming classes, etc.

Find the button....or whatever object you pick. You will have to help her at first so she understands the game, but it's a good one to keep her busy for a while!!! Plus she learns how to look for things she has lost as she gets older. My 4 year old still says "like find the button?" when I tell her to look for something when she says she lost it!

Me and my 20 month old paint, read books, color, bake (she even has her own apron and she mostly just stirs stuff but can help decorate cookies and stuff too), play with blocks, when I clean, if I give her a cloth she will run around wiping things with it, she will carry her own clothes to the laundry room if I tell her to follow me with them. Stuff like that. Just gotta get creative.
