Help with POOP training!

K, so we're good with the pee training, but he won't go poop in the potty. We still use diapers for nap/nighttime and he purposefully plans his poop for during those times. We've tried just putting underware on him during those times, but then he just holds his poop in and gets a tummy ache. The issue is he doesn't want to see it, so he hides it in his diaper. HELP!

hi mary, i had the same problem with my daughter, she wouldnt go on the potty for a poop, forget the potty it causes more problems for them an like u said they hold it in and get stomach ache then they end up with bein constipated. wen he wants a poo just put him in a dyper to do it and dont say anythin about it, try sittin him on the toilet an if he doesnt like it say ok well done for sittin on it, he'll use the toilet wen he's ready, gud luck.....add me on facebook to chat about it wen u need more advice if u like.

I know it is frustrating but it will happen when he is ready. Rewards are a great idea.

My daughter did the same thing, even though the first few times she ever went in the potty was to poop. The good news is that he'll eventually get over it and go poop in the potty. We had a chart and every time there was a success, my daughter would get a sticker and small treat. When the chart was filled out there was a bigger prize like a night at McD's playplace. We did the same thing just for her #1s, but once those were under control, the chart was solely used for poops. I think the kids just have to get used to the idea of going poop on the potty. I mean, it is a different sensation than #1. All in all, good luck and just remember that it will all work out, no pun intended. ;)
