Talk to your pediatrician too. I ended up doing that with my boy and Doc had us add a small amount of Miralax to some of his bottles/beverages whenever we notice him having problems. But you need to consult with a doc to find out amounts appropriate for your kid's age/weight. Keep a journal, what you feed your kid and how much, and then also note whenever they go to the bathroom and what it is (#1, #2) and if (#2) then about how much (ie: tiny amount, normal, a lot, and also how it looks: runny, hard, normal, etc) and whether you noticed that they had problems going. You or your doc might notice a correlation between something the child eats and when they have problems over the next few days.

Try adding molasses to the milk it really helps. Did it with my kids when they were babies and still do now they are toddlers. Fruits and veggies also help especially pears and sweet
potatoes. Bananas make them constipated. Good luck n be patient.

I know I'm lil late, but for future reference. lol. I have a few suggestions: Prune juice, manzanilla tea, food with fiber (beans, veggies n some fruits). My eldest had an issue when he started solids. oh and chicken broth, tummy soother. :) just a few. Hope this helps. oh and try to give bananas, pasta n rice as minimal as possible when just starting solids. :)

There's this stuff called swiss kriss (found in health food stores). I've given it to my daughter since she was 8 months old to help with her bm's because she would cry and scream almost everything she would go. I would just crush up (the pill is very easy to crush between your fingers) 1/4th of a tablet in her drink every day. If she didn't have a bm every day with that dosage I would just add another 1/4 the next day and that usually did the trick. It sounds gross but I ended up assisting quite a few times before I started her on the suplament because I was so desperate for her to have a comfortable bm. I also noticed when I switched her to mostly water all the time her bm's returned to normal.
Good Luck and God Bless
