Hi, I currently work with my daughter with abc's, numbers, colors, and shapes and phonics. At their age sensory bins are great for them. They are able to use their senses and improve motor skills. You can google different kinds of sensory bins or find lots of ideas on pinterest. Simple things like playing with bubbles, playdough, crayons, chalk, painting can also help with learning colors (you could point and say each color) and motor skills( if hes past the stage of putting things in his mouth). Ive found letter blocks to be very helpful, especially ones that stack. Shapes could be introduced too as well as little toy aninals(learning their names and sounds). Reading lots of books is very good and singing songs or nursery rhymes. Dollar stores like dollar general are my favorite place to go for cheap and affordable items. My daughter loved watching Kidstv123 on youtube (phonics songs and animal song). He could play with cars, trucks, or dinosaurs and might even get a kick out of the sounds they make. Hope this helps...
