hi ive got a 11 month old baby boy he refusing his baby food or jars i think he may be getting bored with it any surggestions for healthy finger foods

steamed veggies (carrots, sweet potato chunks, squash, etc- steam until soft- boiling takes out a lot of the nutrients) whole grain pasta in fun shapes, with a variety of sauces if you want to add some extra nutrition, whole grain cheerios or other cereal, cut up grapes, hard boiled eggs, omelets with veggies and cheese, cheese cubes, soft apples or pears, bits of meat, anything really. They say to wait if you have food allergies in your family for strawberries and the like, and to avoid honey for the first year.

A child at 11 months is more than capable of eating finger foods (both my kids were even 'using' forks and spoons at 12 months for pastas and yogurts, even though it was messy, they learn it really quick) and can eat anything you eat. They don't need teeth- even children with several will use their gums and tongue to work the food, so don't worry!

Anything that you eat he should be able to have. Broccoli and Cauliflower are favourites in our house and they are easy to hold. Boiled carrots are also great as well as making your own thick cut chips (fries).

The only time my kids had jar food was when we were out, most of the time they have had what we have had.
