my baby girl had hiccups and a older mum told me to wet your finger dip it into some sugar..only little...let baby suck your finger supposed to stop the hiccups...best do it when babies got no teeth as not good to give too much sugar..it do work but alots of people say it an old wife tale but only do it if you feel comforable.

Its the Diaphram exercising and like the other moms said is normal. My daughter got the hiccups tons but I don't ever really remember feeling my son getting them. Also after the baby is born its best not to "treat" hiccups. They are meant to happen and should be left to happen. Lots of old school moms will tell you to give gripe water for the hiccups which really isn't necessary.

My son would have hiccup-fests like five different times a day. It is normal, and I thought it was really neat! :) It is cute!

yea I read that it helps their lungs but I just wondered how and why he gets them so often..I think it's cute.

Don't worry, it's good for him. It helps their lungs develop they don't even really feel them. I'm 32 weeks with my second and he gets them all the time but my daughter never had them.
