"Hold Me" Help

My 2-month old has (what I call) "Hold Me-itis". Every time I turn around he's screaming to be held. He's not hungry since I just fed him, and He's not dirty because I just gave him a bath. He just wont stop crying unless he's being held, and I have stuff I NEED to do today, and a 18 month old cutting teeth who needs affection. Does anyone have any tips on how to break him of this, or just get me a few minutes peace?

baby carrier. just don't try brushing your teeth when using it - when you go to spit, it ends up on the baby's head.

I used to work in daycare and we had this issue a lot! Especially when they first start! We would try to hold them as much as possible, but obviously there were other kids we had to attend to. So we would put them in a swing or swaddle them. Sometimes we just had to let them cry and we would continually talk to them to let them know we were near. It is tough! good luck. Hopefully he gets through this quickly.

I agree with Jeanne. That's what I did. Walked around with a sling and had 2 free hands to do other things and give attention to my other son. They do eventually grow out of it and you find yourself begging for a tiny hug. Osnat http://maaslife.blogspot.com/

You could try getting one of those baby bjorn carriers and just carry him with you but your hands are free to do other stuff. Should grow out of it soon
