My son was doing the same thing but i found that even when i gave him a sippy cup he did not know that he had to tilt it up to get it out. i help him tilt it up so he can get anything out of it, im hoping he will get it soon.

Maybe you could give him a sippy cup!

My son is 6 months old & LOVES his sippy cup!

It's ok, but he may get extra gas from sucking only air. My daughter also wouldn't hold and drink from the bottle herself, but when I introduced the sippy cup with water she did really well.

My son was the same way he wouldn't tip it up to drink but he would do it when laying down But around 10 1/2 months I gave him a sippy cup with handles and he did just fine

I have three older kids, but had a daycare for infants to toddlers. I cannot tell you how much my kiddos varied at everything. And they were all perfectly in the normal range. He likely is capable, but knows you will do it. One day....Presto!

Sure, all babies move at their own pace. No matter what you read on "baby guides" all children are different.
