Hi Ladies, Does anyone have any home remidies for cleaning supplies for the house? Trying to save money.

I use white vinegar for a ton of stuff. I use it straight up in the rinse agent of my dish washer, and my dishes never have a single spot. I fill an old fabric softener bottle up with it, then add 10-15 drops of essential oil (usually found at natural food stores), shake up and use 1/4c in each load of laundry for fabric softener. I promise clothes don't smell like vinegar, they smell like the essential oil. You don't have to use the oil, I just like my clothes to have a good smell to them. If you do this, please remember that vinegar and bleach do NOT mix, so don't use this in loads you plan to use bleach with. White vinegar is in itself a natural whitener, so you really shouldn't even need bleach. I make my own laundry soap here is the recipe I use. I bought everything I needed (including a bucket) for around $12, and have used this for 2 months and still have a bunch left. I do at least 1 load of laundry a day, and usually 2x a week, I have to do 5-6 loads. Also the next time I make this, I will only have to buy the fels naptha soap, so that batch will only cost me $1! http://duggarsblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/...
For floors, I would really recommend investing in a steam mop. It does cost a little more to start with, but you don't need the most expensive brand out there, and you will never have to buy any type of floor cleaner again.

I use them...I pretty much use 50% vinegar & 50% water mixture for everything from countertops to windows. For clogged drains, I use a slurry of water & baking soda, followed by vinegar and then after 10min, boiling H2O. I have a list of items I use for my oven (I still do not have a self-cleaning one!) that I found online..type "natural oven cleaners" in your search engine & you will find a bunch. I no longer have the link to the list I use.
