How big is too big?

I was wondering what other mom's thoughts were on baby weight. With obesity being such a common problem with children I just thought I'd get an opinion.
When I take my child to the park I notice a lot of 'heavy' children. I also have a friend who has a 5 month old child that weighs nearly 24 lbs. He is very uncomfortable when you try to sit him up and has been eating 9 oz since last month. That goes back to the children at the park, how much weight is too much weight? My friend laughs it off and says it's cute 'baby fat' but what about his health? Or the health of the other children. What would you do if your child was 'heavy'?

I feel bad when I see extremly heavy babies. I used to work in a daycare and one of the mothers used to just feed her child because it made them quiet. Too heavy IMHO is when they are uncomfortable or their health is at risk. She was seeking an opinion not a snide remark.

Talk to your doctor if your child seams heavy to you. If it's other children - mind your own business and don't judge.
