My son's 2nd Birthday is coming up and i want to celebrate it, small but memorable i want him to have a two taire cake, mickey mouse theme i want him to blow his cake and i want him to be happy but it is hard how to celebrate when you don't have family around you, im a stay at home mom no friends, no playdate moms etc. kinda loner we only go out every weekends to my kids gym or kids friendly area. I live in seattle, last year was a little fun my mom was here and my sister, but they all move, my mom move out to texas and my sister move out as well to california. I am so sad and depressed a little bit my son make me smile every time i see him happy and enjoying being a kid.
sometime i think of "i cant wait till he goes to school so i can go back to work"
i love my son to death and i love being with him 24/7 i just wish i have someone to hangout with kids.

ideas of how to celebrate my son 2nd birthday that would be awesome.

A good idea I think is for you to decorate the house with mickey mouse all around so when He wakes up in the morning He'll be surprise and happy

Kitty, it happened to me when my daughter was turning 1. She loves water so my husband and I bought a cake and some snacks and went to this nice pool complex near to our house, it was on a Thursday so we were pretty well the only people there, we had spaghetti her favorite meal, ate the cake and jump in the water with the balloons, She loved it soooo much that I completely forgot we had no family or friends with Us.

So I guess what I am suggesting is for you to think on what your little boy likes and let him do that. I guess the two tier cake must have to wait :)

I'm sure it must be hard to not have any family around. I have just the opposite problem, too many people around. Sometimes I think it would be nice to celebrate a special occasion without so much excitement. But when I do have time to spend with my kids without anyone else I try to make it as fun for all of us as I can. We put on our favorite pajamas, gather up all the best snacks and drinks, curl up with lots of pillows and blankets, and watch movies, color, make puzzles and just enjoy each others company for as long as we can. Good luck!
