don't rush him, he will get there on his own. My daughter wasn't walking until she was 13 months and she was pulling herself up and walking around furniture for 2 months before that. Just be patient and let him do it on his own terms

He'll do t when he is good and ready. Enjoy this time because once he starts walking...watch out! ;D

12 months is just the average for babies to walk. That means most babies will walk before that, or after that. If he's not walking by 18 months, I would start to worry. But he's doing great right now. Just let him hold your finger as long as he wants. He'll do it one day and surprise you and himself! My daughter was like that. She would walk holding my finger for the longest time. I KNOW she could have walked by herself, but she was just very cautious. She finally walked at 15 months and no one was more surprised than her! She never had all the falls and bumps and bruises that other kids get when learning to walk, because she held my finger until she was steady enough to not fall.

Really, he's doing great as he is. Just keep encouraging him to go solo and he will get there. Then, watch out, you will wish you hadn't been wanting this. I know I did.
