its normal to worry..but hell do fine!! ill give u a dont....dont drop him at school and linger around..that makes it worse for him when u leave cuz hes gonna beg u to stay longer. drop him off and leave asap. introduce him to new kids yourself so he doesnt have to find the courage to do it himself. youll feel better knowing he at least made one friend and itll ease ur mind to know hell have fun with his new buddy. hope that helped!!!

Just keep pumping him up about school. That is what I did with my son and we had no problems. Of course my son is very outgoing and he gravitates to the shy kids and tries to pull them out of their shells and get them to play with him. We talked about how big he was and how much fun he was going have and how he was going to make all kinds of friends and learn new exciting things. You get the just of it. I started doing that with my son last year about a few months before I took him to pre-k. It may take your son a little time but he will adjust. I think it is harder on us then it is them. Just keep goodbyes short and reassure that you will be there to get him in the afternoon. Good luck to you and I hope he has great year in kindergarten.

He is going to start to make new friends and not remember to be nervous or shy soon :) Or at least that is what happened with my oldest when he first started school. I made my hugs and kisses very short when I dropped him off every morning and asked him about his day when I picked him up and acted very excited (I was anyways) about all the new stuff he was learning. It made him excited to get back to school the next day :)
