Ok here my problem, My 15 month old daughter is really mean towards me. I dont know what to do anymore. Example: My mom and I were going through some of my daughters clothes and she came up to me and pushed me and pinched my face and slapped me, i asked her to stop twice and she contined so I put her on a time out, well when her minute was up she come right back at me and pushed and pinched again. another time she had my phone and I asked her for it and she threw it in the other direction, I asked her to go get it and she just stared at me I took her hand and made her walk to it to pick it up but she threw a fit. Shes been like this towards me sence I went back to work could that be why? Also just to let you know she only is mean to me and my nephew. She just walks up and bites too... I dont know what to do anymore everything I try it doesn't work... does anyone else have this problem???

when you put your little one in time out do you tell her she is in time out for being mean and biting etc. and once her time out is done do you follow up with thank you for doing time out now you will be nice to mommy and cousin etc. give a hug go eye to eye also remind her on times when she is playing nice comment on how nice it is that every one is playing nice. And I am old school so I also believe in spanking when appropriate never in anger. Good luck with your little one please TREAT MY ADVISE LIKE A BUFFET TAKE WHAT YOU LIKE AND LEAVE THE REST. :)

She seems to be screaming for attention. She is communicating that only way she knows how. Also, at her age, time outs are not too effective. Children do not make the connection yet at that stage. Some one on one quality time should help a lot.
