how do I start baby cereal?

Hey y'all I'm new to this.

My little guy is 7 months old and he's never had baby cereal. He's also breastfed. I want to start him on it so we can both get a full nights sleep but I don't know how or whether to use breastmilk or water, or how much to start with. any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

take a small glass like a juice glass. add water, breast milk, or formula. I would start with about 2-3 tablespoons of cereal and mix in whatever liquid you choose untill its a smooth not lumpy mixture (about the same as apple sauce). I have found this the best way to start. If it is to lumpy your baby will let you know. As my kids got older I would let it have more texture. My girls would eat cereal by itself, but my son requires it to be mixxed in his veggies. He is also 7 months old.
