Cut the tip of the nipple...just a little chunk every day...that makes it hard to suck on..then only offer a cup when they think the bottle is broken. Your child has a settling issue. Comfort comes in the form of sucking on something (like thumbs, pacifiers, etc...) so you have to break the cycle. If they think the bottle is broke...they will have to get their liquids some other way...I had a son who really had a struggle...this really worked. Good luck!!!!

We had our son throw his bottles away (he was a little less than a year old) and got sippy cups. When he would ask for the bottle, we would say "You threw it away, remember?" and give him the cup. He only asked for the bottle a handful of times after that. Eventually he figured out that they were gone.

go get sippy cups with soft tops, and try them. i never had the problem, my little one wouldn't take a bottle but the soft top sippy cups she liked and they work great once she got a hang of that we went to the hard top ones. i hope this helps. one of my friends did this for her boy and it seemed to help getting them off the bottle and more independent. good luck hope it helps.

Just stop giving it to her. If she knows that all she has to do is whine she will.
