I am the mom of seven children. ages range from 16 down to 4 months. I have loads of trouble keeping my house clean and organized. i depend on the older ones to help way to much to help and the toddlers don't always cooperate. even when i withhold toys or priviledges. HELP!!!

for the younger ones, make a game out of it. Time how fast you can ALL pick up the toys in a room, and if they do good, try to do better in another room.

If you have to pick it up like a toy take it away for a period of time. maybe thekids just have to much stuff! I know mine do and i have been getting rid of stuff they dont use/need. It seems to help with the clutter/laundry etc if i get rid of stuff like clothes that dont fit that keep showing up in the laundry clean. I also throw away junk mail immediately and they are not allowed to order magazines, as we do not get newspaper to save trees. ask your kids to give a few things they dont use or like to needy kids. Toddlers are just an age that seem to dislike cleaning up, i use to put in the barney tape clean up and my girls would sing the song and pick up the living room.

Reward and compliment system. Keep record when they do chores. Reward them daily for smaller children and reward older one weekly for their accomplishment.

you could always try like making a chart with magnets or stickers so that the younger kids enjoy getting stickers but to do so they have to do some chores or something helpful... some kind of small reward system

Try to make a daily schedule for you and your children this will give you organization and a chance to keep your kids a routine. Build charts to help the clean and give them rewards for helping.
