Since moving to a new town nearly 5 years ago I have found it really difficult to make friends. 5 years of being lonely is starting to take its toll on me. I don't like the phony "meetings" where you act like your best friends but then never really hang out afterwards....any suggestions?

I had no idea that the day I was planning on my nap, my mother died. So it's been even harder...cause you don't want to bring that up, but it's at the front of your mind. I'm doing much better though

I'm in the exact same boat. I only have the one baby, and he's 8 weeks old. I'm extremely isolated and frustrated. I've found a couple people within meetup groups that I stay in touch with. I too don't like most of the people to the point I care to be their "bestie" in these groups. I'm thankful for one thing...My in-laws are coming over tomorrow so I can selfishly read my kindle for a bit and take a two hour nap...I just need some "me time" it's a double edged sword. (wanting to be alone, and needing people). I am actually going to suck it up and go to a group meetup on Friday, but it's just lunch at a kid's cafe, so I don't have to put on a show for too long if I'm not happy with it. hopefully I'll meet at least one more woman I can connect with. We are meant to raise children in community...aunts, sisters, cousins..people are so isolating today, no wonder we're not feeling our best

I'm a SAHM with a 3 year old and 2 month old. I love spending time with my kids but also like to get out of the how sometimes and talk to actual ADULTS. I sell Mary Kay and it brings so many great opportunities into my life. This job has brought me closer to God and has brought great women into my life. It's an amazing company and its Americans number 1 skin care! I set my own schedule and if I need to I can take my kids with me while I work! I work as many hours as I want and I make 50% profit! I love my job! It's a great way to get out there, get closer to God, get more confidence, meet amazing women and new friends, and change others life's! Hello my name is Stacy I have been a stay at home mom for 2 years now. We recently moved from Maryland to Florida. My husbands job is what brought us here. I also have 2 other boys 1 is 14 and the other is 11 my 11 year started with football here. So that's how I started to meet people and mom's also. Well football has recently stopped and I was focusing on my daughter and she is 19 months. But needless to say. Everyone in my family of 5 had there own nitch the boys were in school all day hubby works crazy hours and I stay at home all day. I wanted to go back to work but I found out how much childcare was. That is really expensive and I have trust issues with what is going on in the world. So I decided I needed to get out of the house but not sure how and with who. I do not care about drinking and hanging out all night. That is not me. So I actually was talking with my neighbor who I don't talk to all the time but when I see her I say hello. So we got the talking and she interested me into tupperware. I started on Feb 1, 2016 and I am so glad I did because I can be at home working and my kids can get involved with games, home party's. This has open so many doors of meeting people. You make money get free tupperware , meet new people, especially through our tupperware groups. I could not be happier. And I still baby sit. But this is my story it has changed my life dramatically. If you are interested you can email me at stacy_freet@yahoo.com and also check out my website http://StacysImpressions.my.tupperware.c...
I have met some amazing people doing this

Yeah same here. I moved to Vegas with my husband because of his job in the military and it's only been 2 years now & still sucks. I have been searching online for groups/ classes to take baby but no luck yet. You can try try searching for mommy & me classes or programs. But then again people aren't genuine. Where are you located?
