you don't. just give them whatever they'll eat that's not complete junk food or candy.

That is okay. She will eat when she gets hungry. my son was sick one time and his pedi told me that as long as he has enouch liquids..he can actually go about a week with out food.

I have always been told they will eat when they are hungy. As long has she is drinking and staying hydrated, I wouldn't worry.

I agree with Leilani when she gets hungry she will eat try not to worry about it to much, at this point its more of a how much do nutrients do they get in a week or so vs a day. She will eat and get what she needs when she is ready.

With that said if your really worried about her getting the nutrients and things she needs maybe keep a diary of what she is eating for a few weeks then see the dr and make sure she is getting enough.

I wouldn't worry about it. Your kid will eat when he's hungry! My 2 yr old goes through these phases as well. I try to offer her everything & she turns it all down. But, when she's hungry...boy does she eat a lot.

I have little guys that totally go through phases. Sometimes they eat like little piggies. Sometimes they won't touch a thing or very little for an entire week. But think about how you feel some days. Sometimes you just can't eat enough, other times you don't even think about food. My opinion is, if your pediatrician says your child is healthy and growing well, and you always give your child a plate to choose if they wan to eat, don't worry too much about it. When they are hungry, they will eat! Always put anything and everything on their plate. One day they just might eat it!
