how do you get your child to go to sleep earlier?

get her up earlier, feed her earlier, start her night time routine earlier. Spend mid to late afternoon out in the daylight, doing something active so she can see and feel the day coming to an end, and spend some energy

Early dinner, bath, quiet play or book time, breast/bottle, off to bed.

i have four kids two are in school i would say that routine is the best way to go it might take a while for him/her to get use to it...but its worth it...i would suggest waking him/her up early..i wake my two little ones up when i get my two oldest off to school which is around 7am...then i make em lie down for a nap around 11am...usually it takes a little time for them to wind down and fall asleep.....i usually have all four of my kids in bed around 8pm and asleep by i would suggest if you want to try to get her to sleep around 8 i would put her down at least 30 min.before because it always takes time for them to wind down..

What time does she go to sleep? What is your goal time? Try intervals of 15 minutes. So lets say right now it is 9:00 do 8:45 and so on. Stick with your bedtime routine that she is comfortable with and change the time. You find a time that works best for her.
My mother told me it was hard to get me to sleep at 8:30 so one day she saw how tired was at the dinner table and she put me to bed...from that day on my bedtime was 7:30. I tried that with my son, but he was not that easy. My daughter was, she would go to sleep anytime after the 7:00 hour. All kids are different. Good luck. Peace.

Thanks...Well no matter how early or late she goes to bed she would wake up at 7 AM evry morning!
and its TOO COLD here to spend the day outside, so i try to play with her inside!...
lately tho, she has been going to sleep at 7:30 and waking up at 7AM, go back to sleep, than 830,go back to sleep. than finally 9....

She just does not stick to a routine for very long lol...

i find as soon as u think u have them in a routine they decide they dont want to do it anymore! all u can do is do everything the same every night to the best of ur ability and soon bub will get us to it, and start getting into a routine themselves

Have you got your bub in a routine? It's the best thing I've ever done with my bub, she's 8 months old and she's been in one since 3 months.
