I usually turn around, get in a quick snicker/smirk, then tell my kid what they did that was inappropriate. I, also, write this stuff down in a journal (one per kid) for when they are older.

Have fun, this will come up over and over.

Remind yourself that although it is funny, it is not appropriate for them to do. With my oldest, I generally cover my mouth if I can't hide the smile or chuckle, and when I uncover it, say "ouch!" so she doesn't attribute the facial changes to her wrong behavior.

i have the same problem! sometimes i actually have to bite my tounge! usually i explain that while some things are funny-they should not be repeated. not everyone will hide their laughter, so a kid needs to learn to realise that even if somethings funny its not always appropriate and in time they can moderate their own behavior (someday)..if that makes sence? :)

Haha... it's hard to do, that's for sure! One of mine had no sense of modesty as a Kindergartener, and several times streaked through the house after his bath when we had company over. After turning about 8 shades of red, I would apologize to my guests who were cracking up laughing, and head him off at the pass with a towel.
