I started my Jesiah with the Elmo potty video...and it took about 8 months from the time he was two to be 100% potty trained. After he would go on the potty I would reward him with an MnM or Starburst. Oh my goodness did that help so much!

im also just starting potty training with my two year old son. alot of people keep telling me that they dont have the control to do it til they are 3 but others have given me great advice and the main problem we had was getting him to sit on the potty so my mom sugguested to put the potty in the living room and just let him sit on it like a normal seat til he gets used to it and of course always let your child go to the potty with you. i wouldnt advise turnikng the water on while that makes them go now it will make them have the urge everytime they hear running water. my sister is 12 and still has the problem. everytime she cooks or does the dishes she has to stop and go to the bathroom.

You have to be very consistent w/ whatever you do. i was 5 months pregnant when i potty trained my 2 year old boy, got up like every 1/2 hour and took him to go potty. he got upset, but he got used to it. 1 month after he would go by himself, but would still want me to go in there w/ him. but now he goes all by himself.

I just had my daughter sit on the potty every time I did at first, turn on the water if you are trying to get her to go!! We just talked about it a lot and made a point to talk about what she was doing even if it was in her diaper. So when she was going I would point out that to her. I don't know if that is helpful, but it worked for mine. Dresses are good for little girls, so they don't have to worry about getting their pants down. Remind her to close her legs so she doesn't go on the floor or your leg!! If you act like it isn't a big deal it makes it easier on them even if they have an accident. If she can't feel that she is wet it takes longer so when you think she ready go ahead with the panties and don't look back!!

I remember giving my girl a book to look at, high fives, a treat for reward. Don't feel frustrated if the revert back...they will soon love going without a diaper!
