How do you start potty training a 2 yr old boy?

My son turned 2 in April and won't start using the toilet. I have him in pull ups and even bought him training underwear thinking he wouldn't like the feeling of the cloth when it's wet. He always tells me right after he pees in his underwear but he refuses to use the toilet. My daughter is 4 and I started potty training her about a year and a half and by about 30 months she was using the toilet. I don't know what I need to do different to get him into the habit of at least going into the bathroom when he needs to pee.

Thanks Lucy for your advice. I am trying to be patient so I guess the best thing is to let him do it.

Boys can take longer to get the hang of it - recognising the feeling of needing to go rather than just realising it has happened. He's still pretty young on the whole - I would leave it for a few months if he has no interest in using the toilet, or is not understanding the feeling of needing to pee. To be honest I'd only start becoming insistent about it if by his 3rd birthday he still shows no interest.
