You are incredibly lucky. My oldest daughter slept really well like that, but my second daughter was up all the time. She was 14 months old before she slept through the night. From 8 months to then she would wake up in the middle of the night and be up for hours. Nothing would get her back to sleep. My son is 8 months old and on an average night we get up every 90 minutes. Sometimes to eat, sometimes to cuddle. I get between 4-5 hours of sleep a night, once its all added up. Fun times.

My son slept through the night right away, in not kidding you like a month old- but then at 4 months old, we moved..... needless to say I was so worried the move would upset him, I created a monster, and now at 8 months old I am still struggling with him!!! I should have just let him be.... :(

My kids slept all night around 3 and 4 months. feed them and let them sleep. I never changed a diaper at night (unless poopy) that only wakes them up. My kids still sleep realy well. my 2 year old goes to bed @ 630pm and wakes @ 730am. She also takes a 2 to 4 hour nap. my 4 year old son sleeps from 730pm to 630 am. and just stopped his regular 2 hour naps. he now naps when a make him if we know he will have a late night.

I honestly feel sorry for the moms who can't sleep thro the nite ( Not making fun). I have never had that problem. Almost from day one both of my kids have gone to bed and eight and slept in til ten am. Most mornings I lay in bed waiting for my kids to wake up.

My son is 25 months and has never slept through the night. When they're young, they need to eat/nurse so keep that in mind. Babies aren't little adults, they're unique and have their own needs and wants.

Hi Charlene, im a young mom of a 1year 10month old boy. i stuck to a very strict schedule since he was 2months old. he was put in bed at 8pm every night. i still dont have a problem with him when its bedtime. he sleeps right through and only wakes up at 7:30 every morning. even through his teething problems, he knows that when its 8pm its bedtime. have fun with Olivia, they grow so fast.
all the best.

you're brave waking her up!! most babies don't like being woken up, my little man is only 2 months old and he'll sleep at least 8 hrs after he goes to sleep at night, at first he wouldn't sleep in his cot so i had to have him on my chest in my bed to get him to sleep, that's how i discovered he's a tummy sleeper. i know the professionals all say your baby isn't allowed to sleep on their tummies till they're 6 months old but as long as the cot blanket won't sink down so their nose is pushed into it and as long as there's no toys or blankets near their faces i think it's alright. he's been sleeping on his tummy for a month and a half now

Don't worry, it will happen eventually. Take comfort in knowing that, by the time he's 18, he will be sleeping through the night. Right now, nap when he does to catch up on sleep. It's the best advice I have to offer;)

Congrats!! Enjoy it and hopefully it lasts, I am a mom to 4 boys and all of them slept through the night by about 3 months except this last one Jude is a happy little camper but at 18 months old we are still waking in the night, I've tried all the tricks I know I think it just depends on the child. I can't bring myself to let him cry it out so for now we just struggle along and know that one day too soon he won't be my baby anymore!

Love the name. My first daughter is Olivia Grace and my second is Madeline Louise. Madeline started sleeping through the night when she was 2 months old...but stopped at 6 months because she needed to eat. Enjoy the sleep!

My daughter sleeps through the night at one year old. She didn't do that until she was about five months, but I was breastfeeding. I don't know if that makes a difference. Your daughter seems very easy going, congratulations! Enjoy your Mommy time. Just a forewarning, once teething starts, or she hits a new milestone, she might wake up more often during the night. I was told this by quite a few people even though I never experienced it. It isn't a bad thing, I just say it so that you can be prepared, IF it happens, and know that it is normal:)
