How early is too early?

My 3month old son learned how to do his full roll when he turned 3months and 1day. Two days after, he learned how to hold his feeding bottle with very little support and started trying to do "mini-crawls". Now, my determined baby is trying to sit-up whenever he's on my lap. By this I mean he'd bend forward seemingly trying to sit whenever he's cradled on my lap. When I try to restrict him from doing so he would get agitated and cry real loud. What should I do? Should I just let him at it? Isn't it too early for him to do these things?

I agree with all the other posts, if he wants to let him. Looks like you have an active bub on your hands :)

Don't try to stop it!!! All kids develop differently. It sounds like your son is just learning a little faster than normal. If I were you, I'd start encouraging his possible accomplishments!

If he wasnt ready for it he wouldnt be trying, i say let him have a go and see what happens. He's a very clever little guy well done :)

every baby is different. your might have advance motor skills as my little boy. he learned how to walk by 11months. and to run by 12 months.

for as long as it is not you who is making him do it, then it is fine. they will not be doing those things if they feel any discomfort

all babies develop at thier own pace so yes i believe you should just let him go at it this is how he will learn

I agree, let him take a try :) Our little guy is almost a year old and he has been a very physically strong little guy, and always did things like that early too.

Nope, not too early at all. He's advanced!! Let him at it. Our LO was crawling at 5 months, standing at 6 months and walking unassisted at 9 months. You've got a determined little one, just let him go and see what happens.

Not at all. My son was doing this on my lap, in bed and in his bouncer at about that age. Saying that, he's 7 months now and is only just sitting up unaided for a few minutes!

Babies development times vary and no time is the right time, they work at their own speed and nothing can stop them or rush them into doing anything. If he''s ready, he'll do it! Good luck! :)
